Maxime Robin cuts little sound pieces of records found in the “1$ bin” and paste those in a way that most find electro hiphop not unlike music by Jay Dee, Prefuse73 or Ghislain Poirier. His hiphop band, Dromadaire à 2 bosses, is really on some crate digging, relax, making people talk tip. Maxime is also a videast; in the same way he use sound, he finds interesting visuals that he chops in little pieces and rearrange to make nice and very musical videos. The first screening is usually at his local Kino night and then wherever short independant videos are welcome. His understanding of audio and video equipment lead him to do some VJ gigs (live video performance) and some soundtrack work on various projects. Now hiphop director at CHYZ, he got a radio show called Hiphop is dead which he co-host with Emile Gauthier (from Anachronic XP) and also host the only show about instrumental hiphop in Quebec called Un thé avec Stella.
